Our Mission Statement

AGCC exists to be a discipleship building, community driven, body of believers lifting up the name of Jesus in word and action.

History of AGCC

In early 1978 three young couples left Arlington, Virginia, to begin a new Assembly of God church in northwestern Vermont. The church was born on August 28, 1978.  Pastor Dennis Marquardt led the church as it grew.

Rev. Arthur Adams was elected to serve as pastor in 2002, after Pastor Dennis was elected to serve as the district superintendent of the Northern New England District of the Assemblies of God. Rev. Adams and his wife Celeste were members of the original group that came to plant the church. Pastor Art led the congregation until he retired in June 2014.

In late summer 2014, Rev. Michael Oldham was elected as our new pastor. Pastor Mike, and his wife, Lisa, came from a large church in St. Albans, Vermont. He had been serving as associate pastor at Church of the Rock. Pastor Mike began preaching and teaching in October 2014. We are excitedly looking forward to the future together.
